Farm 4 Freedom strives to end the cycle of recidivism one person at a time by reintegrating each of our residents back into Knoxville's society.
After COVID-19 hit Tennessee, it was evident that the newly released inmates and the system would inevitably get overwhelmed. I went to the streets and found out first hand where these inmates were ending up: Under the Bridge.
Knoxville's vagrancy issue will only grow with the rate of release and the increased leniency from parole officers due to new COVID regulations. We need a program that is not only appealing but also, reintegrative, to those getting out of prison.
Farm4 Freedom seeks to provide the victims of recidivism the highest-level residential reformation program in Knoxville. We aim to do so by providing a supportive environment, secure housing, horticultural therapy, life training ,targeted character development, recovery support, and community service.
We believe that focusing on an individual’s identity, purpose, and wholeness is essential for the success of each person.
Our vision is to empower men to be free from recidivism and introduce them to a self-sufficient way of life in a farming environment. By doing so we believe we can cultivate and consistently advance each participant from a life of minimal freedom to a life of complete freedom.
